Traveling Europe for 3 weeks w/ daughter who has been at Oxford for the last semester

ABOUT ME

Just found out about couch surfing and leaving soon for a 3 week trip with my daughter to tour Europe. She had been attending at Oxford for the last semester

Lived in the Houston area since before children, love it here. We have 5 children who we home schooled, 2 are still being home schooled. 2 are currently in college and one has graduated recently. So budget is extremely tight but this trip was too good to pass up..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once we get back we would welcome couch surfing in our home. Have a hide a bed we could share or a bed if college students are at school. Actually live west of Houston in a beautiful quiet rural location with an assortment of animals. 2 inside dogs, several outside farm cats, horses, cows, and chickens. Not exactly what one thinks of when you think of Houston. Depending on the time of day we are about an hour west of downtown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just heard about couch surfing from a friend. Was checking the costs of hostels in Europe and about fell over. I'm a bit nervous about this but if I'm brave enough to travel Europe with my daughter for 3 weeks in the winter I'm brave enough to try couch surfing.

Interests

Love Jesus Christ, my husband, my children, animals & home schooling. Not a lot of time for outside activities except for taking care of the above.

Music, Movies, and Books

Read lots of books in the earlier years of home schooling, I read every thing the children did. Love Contemporary Christian music or worship music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Home birthed twins, with just my dear husband. Yes, really. It wasn't exactly planned that way though.

Teach, Learn, Share

We know how to raise chickens, cows, horses, children, garden, scrapbook, cook from scratch, grind wheat, sew, home birth, home school etc.

Going to Europe is a huge adventure for me, especially in the winter. I rather enjoy Houston winters.
