I like meeting people, and exploring different cultures, food, life experiences. I think this is what we all should have access to. I am not your typical american. If you are coming to San Francisco Bay area please feel free to contact me for information. I also have alot of knowledge re Portland, OR, and Los Angeles areas.
I just got back from NYC, what a great place to explore and people watch, and you definitely have to get out of Manhattan! Love Queens and Brooklyn. Headed to Canada end of August, Montreal, Toronot, Ottawa, and NYC!
I am Mexican by descent, practice progressive politics, and have a good group of close friends, male and female. I'm queer, but straight friendly, just ask my best friend and his wife.
Be good to the mother earth, and others around you. Mutual respect is the key. And if that doesn't work, remember what goes around, comes around.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to surf to see a city, town, other country through the eyes of my host(s).
Spent three days with a great host in Rotterdam. Hope he will travel out here so I may return the favor.
Music, concerts, film, books, people watching, progressive politics, outdoors, hikes, biking, dogs, cats, history, my family, friends, bbq, camping, oh yeah travel. I skydived once, would like to try it again, what a rush.

Music, Movies, and Books
The girl with the dragon tattoo and the brief wonderous life of Oscar War. I really enjoyed them both. The girl who played with fire an excellent read. Like Indie and foreign films, documentaries especially. Occasionally see the hollywood stuff, although i love old black and white films. Attend one or two filmfests a year, SF Intl Film Fest is great, but Portland does a great job too. Like rock, roc en espanol, folk music, world music, blues, soul, jazz. I love the New Orleans JazzFest!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked on a volcano in Guatemala. Viewed Iguazu Falls from many angles. Took two years off and traveled and spent time with the people most important to me. Not many people in my country can say that, too caught up in making money, and not enjoying life.
