Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here checking out this site mainly for my 5 kids, aged 17-22, who are all travelers, or about to be, and also for authors who might go on tour on our shoestring budget. This seems like a great place for them to find couchsurfing opportunities, and I'm happy to return the favour on their behalf (not too many have their own couches yet!) if it all works out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am old enough that I've either seen too many amazing things, or not enough.

There is not one thing--only a parade.

Life is full of beauty and also suffering, and there is no end to it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a good feeling for financial markets--which are a living thing, not a dead specimen that can be understood through autopsy and tissue samples. I like learning how world markets operate and how they relate to human well-being or suffering on the ground and in the villages where I try to serve.
