I love to learn, eat, dance, laugh and experience new things!
I sometimes to share this account with my wonderful travel buddy Tyler so there are a few details about her on here as well! We went to Costa Rica and Colombia together and have plans to venture more around the world in the near future!
Why waste time doing things you don't love? La vie est belle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have not yet had the opportunity to host anyone through CS but I am exptremely grateful for the wonderful people who have hosted me over the years. I have only ever had wonderful CS experiences and I intend to continue and provide that for others in the near future!
(Sorcha) My favorite couch surfing experience was in Porto-Vecchio, Corsica when my sister and I spent hours just sitting outside in the sun with our host, chatting in French about anything and everything! My second favorite was sitting in our hosts house in Medellin, Colombia teaching her origami!
Volleyball, traveling, french, spanish, scuba diving, origami, making guacamole and margaritas!

Music, Movies, and Books
Fiction: Anything by Margot Livesey, Russell Banks or Sophia Kinsella. Currently reading Mountains Beyond Mountains and feeling severely inadequate next to Paul Farmer. As a fiction writer I love hearing from others what they are reading.
Music: As a born and raised Texas girl I have to admit I love country music. But as an international traveler I love latin music and almost anything in Spanish or French :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Tyler: Was held hostage in the Amazon rainforest of Peru, partied with the cast and crew of Ice Road Truckers and swam with seals off the coast of Cape Cod
Sorcha: Flew in the National Hot Air Balloon Championship, built a house while WWOOFing in Ireland and scuba dived at 120ft in Cabo, Mexico
Both: We both jumped off a high rock overhang into a beautiful pool in the wilderness of Colombia.
Teach, Learn, Share
Through my years of traveling I have learned that cultural and language exchange are of utmost importance to the world. These are two of the things that fascinate me the most about traveling and I love to exchange stories and anecdotes about life and culture that one could never find by simply staying put.
