About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore all areas of the globe but to get a real feel for the diversity of cultures and livelihoods.

ABOUT ME

I spend most of my time around students and then spend my free time cycling across the western canadian archipellago...this of course entails using ferries as well. I've grown up in really different areas of the world: London, England; Dubai, UAE; Colombo, Sri Lanka and Toronto, Canada.
I love movies going out for drinks and doing city thing but I also love camping and I've found an interest in rock climbing.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to its fullest but not irresponsibly.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not extensive but I've had friends travel around Eastern Europe and another group of friends that couchsurfed in Puerto Rico that told me it was a wonderful experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I've enjoyed too many...Children of Men, There will be Blood and No Country for Old Men are some of my favourite recent movies. I also really enjoy the movies of Akira Kurosawa, Kihachi Okamoto and Kenji Mizoguchi.

Music - Leonard Cohen, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, and Panda Bear are great. I really listen to a wide range...what I like just depends on mood and time really.

Books- Anything by Kurt Vonngeut, Catch 22, A Clockwork Orange,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was out in the boreal forest (Extensive forest that spreads across Europe to Canada) treeplanting and came face to face with a black bear. It wasn't a terrifying experience but more humbling as zoos, videos or pictures really don't do justice to the glory of an animal in its own habitat.
