We are Shaheen and Shouniez (husband and wife) travelling together. We are both from the beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa. Its been more than a year into our journey where we decided to both quit our jobs, sell everything we owned, leave our comfort zone, take a risk, spread our wings, travel and explore more of our true passions and see more of the world and what life has to offer :) We quit our jobs and pursued a life, exploring our passion of travelling, meeting new people and flowarts

We have been traveling for the past year and half, touring our fire act. We toured throughout South Africa, Mozambique, Europe and Bali.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people and make personal connections, rather than just passing through. Also to inspire people with our journey to travel to new destinations and see what the world has to offer. To share our stories of how we made it possible.

One of the greatest things we've learned through travelling is the generosity and kindness of complete strangers. You start out as strangers and within hours, you'll remember each other for years to come. Once we settle, we'll do the same for everyone.

Interests

Collectively we have some many and varied interest.
Shaheen loves surfing and is a water baby. Shouniez is artistic.
People! We love meeting people from different backgrounds, cultures and hearing their stories and views on life.There is always something to learn from others.
The environment and sustainable living. Permaculture.
We are both passionate about flowarts (hoop, poi, staff, anything that spins :) and circus
We enjoy hooping in the parks and the sun. (pretty much everywhere :)
We love festivals because we enjoy being in nature and surrounded by happy loving people.
We love anything new and we're always open to new experiences

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Listening to the calling of our restless souls and doing something about it. Packing up our entire life in South Africa. Leaving our "secure and safe" jobs without any plan, other than fully knowing that we want to travel and see the world. Being present and seeing where the journey will take us, fully trusting in journey and the experience and listening to our hearts, our intuition, even when if doesnt make any logical sense. Surrendering to the present
