To travel the world and claim joy in my life. To touch the lives of as many people as I can in a positive and healing way.
I am 52 and starting a new life, one in which I leave the past behind, claim happiness and find balance. I'm a multi-talented maven who sings and writes her own songs; writes and performs original poetry; runs a local reading; cooks gourmet, organic, vegetarian food; makes some of the best chocolate you've ever tasted; and a lot, lot more. I also love meeting new people, and making friends -- whether for a few days or a lifetime. I'm also a deeply spiritual person, a Pagan who finds delight in natural settings and taking care of the Earth.
Showing and developing ever deeper and wider love, compassion and open heartedness. Showing myself and everyone else how precious we all are.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I donated more than the recommended amount to the CS Project, and at some point would love to host people -- though honestly, my house isn't very large and it's not quite ready to receive guests on a regular basis.
I have yet to have a lot of experiences couch surfing, and I look forward to gaining as many as I can!
I love anything that expands my heart and mind; learning new things; lively conversations; the beauty and power of nature; the power of imagination; trying new recipes and types of food; reading; movies; poetry; travel; dream interpretation; personal growth
Music, Movies, and Books
Too many to list! Ask and I'm happy to say. A few favorite films: They Might Be Giants (also a favorite musical group); Dr. Strangelove; Undercover's Hero; Return of the Pink Panther; Excalibur; The Fury; Time After Time; Death Becomes Her; The Witches of Eastwick
A few favorite books: The Secret Life of Bees; The Artist's Way; Dracula; Frankenstein; The Shining; The Dead Zone; Ghost Story; The Hobbit; Lord of the Rings Trilogy
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw the Grand Canyon a few years ago for the first time, and plan to go back this year. Fantastic! Grand is just too tame a word for such magnificence!
I have experienced feelings and sensed energy I couldn't explain in many reputedly haunted locations.
I felt tiny fish nibbling dead skin from all over my body swimming in a natural warm pool near Pahoa, Hawaii.
I saw a lunar eclipse in Umbria, Italy and another in Pahoa, Hawaii.
I've performed music and poetry in front of hundreds of people and acted in front of hundreds as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share what I know about food and cooking, as well as learn new tricks and recipes. I'm also an editor and writer and am happy to offer helpful and positive feedback on creative projects, as well as basic editing advice. I'm trained in coaching and communication methods and would love to hold heart space for anyone who asks.
