Hey, My name is Shane and I am 21 and from Ireland. Currently i am living in Madrid, Spain to improve my Spanish and am working as a Legal English teacher. I would like to travel to different countries around Europe to learn different languages, Spain being my first location so far.

My next destination hopes to be France, I would like to experience Paris and see what it has to offer as a city as i have heard so much about it. I hope to one day be able to achieve a high level of French and finally do an internship in one of the institutions of the European Union.

I would really apreciate it if you could let me stay a weekend at your home in Paris so I could enjoy your city and experience its language and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im couchsurfing because I want to travel to countries first and experience the life there before i decide to move there to live for some time and learn the language. My main motive for travelling is to be able to learn languages around Europe.

I have just recently finished college and am hoping to kick start my career and future by travelling around Europe and learning new languages and cultures. I hope by learning French I could increase my chances of one day working in the European Union.

Interests

I am a big fan of surfing and have surfed in Ireland, Spain and Morocco. I really enjoy hiking around mountains in Spain, Germany and Ireland. My biggest interest of all is travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to El Salvador on a habitat for humanity trip. I raised money for a year when I was 16 and travelled to El Salvador to build houses for the poor. This trip really inspired me and showed me the international side of the Spanish languge

I really want to learn French and it is one of my Major desires. I hope to get inspiration from a trip to Paris and one day master the language.
