I’m a special education teacher in Washington D.C looking for a new adventure this school year. I have many children called my students lol, but one son who calls me mommy! He lives in North Carolina. I’ve traveled to many different places and seen a lot of things. I love talking about politics and hot topics , but I can be quite natured too. I love board games and jazz music. I want to meet new people who love to travel, talk, and mingle. It’s a bit unconventional to couch surf to do this but I thought , why not give it a try.

I’m on couch surfer to meet new people and explore my area in a non traditional way. I’m looking to share my joy of life with another instead of coming home to an empty house after a long day of teaching.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can watch the Goonies all day everyday! Heeey you guys!!!! I love jazz and enjoy going to live showings and concerts. I enjoy reading historical fiction particularly from the Tudor era. I don’t know what my fascination is with that. Perhaps because women has to deal with so much during that time. My favorite book is the Red Tent…it’s a historical biblical fiction based off a young girl in the Bible named Dina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three years ago I went to Spain with my family were I learned the culture, the language, and fell in love with the food. To top it off, we headed to Morroco were the food was even more tasty and the people extremely friendly. I got to visit two continents in seven days, that was pretty amazing to me!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn another language…any language! I would love to learn to sign! I can teach you how to be compassionate and caring towards disabled people and students. I can share my love of jazz and travel…heck we might even go on a trip together! Who knows what life may bring.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my love of gardening, my quiet nature and my out going personality. I can tutor your children or maybe even you if you struggle with reading or writing. I’m great with that since Im a teacher.
