About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The Swiss Alps, then 8 days in Iceland, Summer 2014!

ABOUT ME

I've been accepted into a Masters Program in the Swiss Alps in Expressive Arts Therapy—this means that I get to travel! Finally! I've been waiting years to leave North America and finally the plan is in place. I will be in Europe for the summers of 2014 - 2016, and perhaps longer. I will spend a few days in Zurich at the end of school before I fly to Iceland for an 8-day solo adventure. I figure I should start with the place I want to go the most, and Iceland is waaay up there.

I live in Toronto in a lovely house on a big beautiful river valley, with my partner, my two stepchildren & my two very sweet cats. I have a private practice as an expressive arts therapist and I am also a musician, writer and interested in theatre & all the arts, really. I love being outside and hiking for hours and that's why I'm excited about the Alps and about Iceland.

PHILOSOPHY

Love others in the way that they understand love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the house I'm staying in, I presume this means?

I am a very low-maintenance and relaxed houseguest. I quite like time on my own so I don't need entertaining although I'd love your suggestions on local secrets! I will leave a space as I found it & I will respect the kitchen to the utmost! I have no problem following house rules and I won't take things personally. I am a good communicator, and friendly & happy to chat & get to know you, or happy to spend time alone if you'd prefer! I'm an only child so I'm quite good at that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hitch-hiked across Canada and stayed on many many farms through the WWOOF (willing workers on organic farms) experience. I did this for 7 months! This taught me a lot of flexibility, openness & great houseguest manners.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I loved seeing Newfoundland, the very top of the island, where the Vikings first came into North America 1,000 years ago & settled!
