About Me

ABOUT ME

Our name names are Shaun and Missie. Were a couple from Canada who are trying to see the world in this lifetime. We took a two month trip about two years ago and the moment we returned home we jumped right on google to find where we were off to next. Currently were on a 10 month-ish trip around the world. Traveling has really been amazing for us as we have been able to experience and explore so many magical places together. We find it funny though that everytime we travel to a new destination on our list we end up meeting someone who tells us about "this" place and it only lengthens our list! Which is great!

PHILOSOPHY

We feel that in life it is important to take the time and live. If you take life to seriously you can end up 50 years old and never had the time to actually enjoy yourself. So enjoy the present when its here as you never know what the future can hold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...Oh my.. where does anyone begin with this question!? Espescially those who have traveled.

We have been on the road, throughout asia and the middle east for over 8 months now.. we have seen and done things that I could have only dreamed of. People ask us all the time:
"What is your favorite place of all ?" and " What was the most exciting/amazing things you have seen and done?"
And, I never know how to answer those questions. Everywhere we have been has been a slice of perfection or culturally eye opening.
Everywhere we have been has left a mark and in its own right have been "amazing."

From trekking Sapa Vietnam with the locals, exploring the temples of Angkor, diving the world wonder Sipidan, dancing the night away with friends in Kuta Clubs, The Taj Mahal, Nepal, The Pyramids of Giza, the dead sea.. and the list goes on

Teach, Learn, Share

Not always is it that the sites and buildings are what make a city a memorable and exciting place to explore. It is not always the "City" that resonates within your heart and makes you smile when thinking back on your time and experiences while being there. More importantly, it is the people. It is always the people. No matter what corner of this beautiful and exciting world they may live in. It is the friendships forged there, a random run in, shared laughs, a helping hand, a smile, an open door, and even the offer for a couch to sleep on.

It is the people that make the places and it an amazing feeling to be a part of a passionate, generous, vibrant community that links all of those people. We hope to become contributing members of this couch surfing community, we hope to meet people who we can share stories and laughs with and get to know better. We hope to bring about new friendships where we all can "Teach, Learn and Share" with/from each other.
