We're traveling around the world to meet new people and learn about different countries and culture. We love to connect with people through sharing stories and cooking food. We love food! And, enjoy hanging out over dinner and drinks.

ABOUT ME

Lauren and Shaun met at Burning Man, an arts festival in Nevada in 2006. Lauren is from DC. Shaun is from Athlone, Ireland. We are a fun laid back couple. We left DC in 2013 to start back packing around the world.

PHILOSOPHY

We believe by traveling the world we will better ourselves by learning about new cultures. We hope to share our experiences and make new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are starting to couchsurf because a lot of our friends and other travelers we met raved about the great experiences they had. We mostly want to do it to connect with the locals. We want to contribute by cooking meals and sharing wine with our hosts.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first experience was in Chile and we had a wonderful host Sebastian. We felt at home with him and hope to find more good friends along the way.

Interests

Lauren and Shaun are very interested in art. Shaun spins fire poi and Lauren loves to dance. Lauren speaks Spanish and Shaun is learning. We love to cook.

Music, Movies, and Books

We love blues, jazz, electronic dance music. Shaun is currently watching Breaking Bad. Lauren doesn't care for tv so much. Her favorite movies are the The Big Lebowski and The Fall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently we hiked in Patagonia where we camped on glaciers. Sailing and diving are two of our great passions.

Teach, Learn, Share

Shaun can teach hosts about fire spinning and he's really knowledgeable about the internet and computers. Lauren can teach dance. We know a lot about the US and Europe. One of our favorite things to so is share stories of traveling and experiences.
