I am a mature, responsible, fun loving, emptynester although still taking classes and pursuing career advancement. I work full-time as a staff and travel nurse (the Nomad in me) and always looking to connect with new people, share a meal, laugh, converse, and make new friends. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traffic in the DMV area is incredibly intense and so unpredictable. I am a staff and travel nurse looking to decrease my commute a couple days a week. Seeking to return to my zen equilibrium state of being.

I enjoy many music genres. Lately I am enjoying Jazz, R&B, Soul, Pop, Top 40. I enjoy live, spontaneous musicians picking up a guitar, violin, or playing a piano.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my early to mid 20s, I traveled the US competing in the Martial Arts circuit with a team. That was an adventure that will last a lifetime. I also was a host mother to many international high school students and enjoyed every moment of that experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy working with youth with disabilities encouraging self advocacy and independence. I am somewhat of an undercover life long student, yet cool and easy to get along with.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I own a home in Rockingham County, Virginia that I currently rent out to a wonderful family. The job pool was much better in the metropolitan area, so I moved back here in the Fall of 2012.
