ABOUT ME

My life consists of a series of awful and beautiful circumstances that I have conquered and embraced as a faerie may do. I flit from one existence to another, always working to create the perfect book of my reality. I love people of all kinds, the folks. Sometimes I believe I may be best as a nun, or a monk of some kind, as I flourish and beam in the light of helping others. I smile very much and I can be as adaptable as a chameleon.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life as a vessel with which to absorb the experiences, stories, smells, and vibes of others. I love the world and I love that I am here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just began my involvement in the Couch Surfing community. When and if I am ever in a space where I can host folks who need the hosting, I will graciously accept the offer. Alas, the people are all that matters in the end, and we can do it all, and we can undo it all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have always been pretty self sufficient and am looking to right now begin the lifestyle where I can welcome travelers and friends into my life to help them out and enrich their experiences. I'm excited to be a couch surfing lady!

Interests

CocoRosie, Cat Power, The Beatles especially Lennon and anything after 1965, Miranda July ( She is my idol ) the art of book making, sewing, independent fashion, literature and the Greek gods, WRITING. My main interest is becoming a fully realized writer who is comfortable and powerful in my own body and within my own self.

Terry Gilliam is my favorite Director, Wes Anderson films, Miranda July is my favorite author, as is Mary Gaitskill, Flannery O'Connor, and Rebecca Curtis. I love the Olympia music scene!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE?! The most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life is the transformative properties of learning and understanding. I love to watch the change happen that I so often work to realize. I also love MOUNTAINS. I was forever changed by the views from the North Cascades when I was a girl growing up and climbing those burly ass mountains!

Teach, Learn, Share

I was a writing tutor for three years. I absolutely LOVE to teach and talk about teaching philosophies and ways to learn, ways to be a lifelong learner. I am a poet and a writer and I love the nuisance of words. I know much about children and about redemption, about love, addiction, family turmoil. I come from a very broken family history, and I have emerged a more thoughtful and intentional person because of it.
