About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To vacuum AND mop all the rooms in our house.
ABOUT ME
I am a grade 7/8 teacher and spend much of my spare time hiking, canoeing, travelling, playing and listening to music, cooking, renovating and watching the plants grow. I am adventurous, fun loving, creative and outgoing.
I live in beautiful Godfrey with my husband Shawn, about an hour north of Kingston. We live in a century farm house with 55 acres (which we continue to renovate) in a remote setting. The land is dotted with exposed granite rock, pine trees, swamps and lakes. As hosts, we are both quite laid back and have no expectations about a couch surfing experience - except cocktail hour after lunch with our guests.
PHILOSOPHY
Find an egg. Watch it grow.

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes. Yes. Yes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1) Finding myself in the middle of an overgrown forest in remote Quebec with a canoe on my head, over a kilometer from the water and trying to locate a mysterious portage trail that did not exist. My husband was face down on the forest floor with leg cramps. What left me awestruck was the realization that even if you think you are really in the shit - patience, perseverance and teamwork can get you out of any situation.
2) Crossing the street in Ho-Chi-Minh City is possible! Just walk slowly and with purpose, and use human shields when necessary.
