ABOUT ME

I have wanted to travel for a very long time. Both my older brothers have travelled a lot and their stories always made me jealous. I had my first travelling experience in 2007 when I went to Tanzania for 6 weeks. Those 6 weeks were amazing and I have had the 'travel bug' ever since. So after I finished uni in 2008 I started saving and a year later I headed off with my round the world ticket and my backpack to see some of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Indonesia. I am curently more than half way through my trip and it has been all I hoped it would be and so much more. I am looking forward to what the second half has to offer...

I am new to couch surfing. One of my friends signed up to it recently and has had some lovely surfers staying on her couch who have shared their couch surfing experiences and I'm keen to get involved.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies and like a bit of everything apart from horror movies. I'm a sucker for rom coms but also enjoy thrillers and movies that keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat. I also have a big soft spot for musicals. Just a few of my favourites include The Shawshank Redemption, Moulin Rouge, Braveheart, Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing, Bugsy Malone, Die Hard, Star Wars (all of them), Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, The Last of the Mohicans, Pirates of the Caribean, The Wedding Singer, Liar Liar, Dogma ...

Music - I have a very varied Ipod library and thats the way I like it as I like to listen to differnet music depending on the mood I'm in. Here's a little selection of some of the music I listen to: Biffy Clyro, Bob Marley, Alanis Morissette, Beyonce, Bob Dylan, Cafe Del mar, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Death Cab for Cutie, Dido, Faithless, Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World... and my brothers band 'The Spectres', my good friend's band 'Make Sparks' and 'My Fallen Idea'.

I enjoy reading and try to read different genres. Some of my favs include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Twilight saga, PS I love you, Where Rainbows End, The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons, and Cross Stitch.
