act with compassion, positivity and gratitude. experience life without the need for photographic proof
Born in the 80s, went to school for a really long time, got a serious job. Quit serious job, hit the road, adventured my brains out.
Priorities changed. Firmly in favor of hard work with intermittent retirement; life is too precious to wait until 65 to start living. Now I take a few months off every few years in seach of new expeditions. From December 2016 until April 2017 I will be traveling and climbing in Chile and Argentina.

embrace simplicity- wanting and appreciating the things I already have
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Actively seeking to learn from and share ideas with positive, inspiring folks along the way. Hoping to meet more CSers this year as I begin my next journey to Patagonia this Summer, December 2016.
Apprehensive at first, but since having joined CS in 2010, I have had nothing but great experiences with the community.
Made it into my second ever host, Seattle´s very own Shawn Saleme's article in the Seattle Globalist.
It's been a fulfilling experience to ping pong back and forth between surfing, camping and backpacker living. All are important components to traveling since each style marches to rather different beats and rhythms. I don´t use CS as merely a means to find a free place to stay for a night. While a couch is always appreciated, it´s the interaction with a local host that makes logging into CS worthwhile.
climbing rocks and hugging trees

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
backcountry ski-toured in the Pyrenees, kayaked the Napali Coast, slept under the stars in the middle easten desert, lived out of a car and solo adventured for over a year, seen the sunrise from above the horizon, cycled down the western coast of North America, traveled a lot of the South African coast by foot, surfed with dolphins, scaled some pretty cool rock features, jumped off of various bridges and out of various planes, swam above a pod of Southern Right Whales, seen puppies being born!
an idiot savant's adventure up El Capitan:
Teach, Learn, Share
you could say that I know heaps about the outdoors, so if you're stranded on an island with me, consider yourself safe. until I get really hungry.
