ABOUT ME

19, girl, not satisfied with my existence as it is now. As soon as I graduate from high school I plan to get some time for myself and decide what I really want to do with my life. Possibly travel to Japan. I love reading and am kind of quick at learning languages. Recently I've taken up tae kwon do and, since I still quite suck at it, I plan to start exercising more and get stronger ;D. Hopefully one day I'll get the chance to switch to Iaidō, that would be just awesome...
I used to dream of becoming a psychiatrist, but now I'm not really sure. I'm comfortable with solitude and in search for some inner peace, so I'm actually contemplating the idea of spending some time in a buddhist temple in Japan, however weird it might sound. I tend to be a loner but I'm very willing to socialize with people as long as they're respectful and respectable.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in God. Basically, I agree with the thesis that God is probably a product of the human tendence to rationalize the huge chaos life is. I hate those who cling superficially to "God" just to get some form of cheap consolation, but I do admire those who have a real, sincere faith, which in my opinion takes as much mental strenght as a real, sincere atheism. None can prove who's right.
I can just say that my personal experience brought me to think there's no such thing as a greater power ruling this universe, nor any reason, nor any purpose, nor any meaning which abstrays from self-perpetuation.
That's what I think at least, but I'm still having a hard time trying to accept it...
