Hi, I'm Shiv and I'm a student at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, California. I'm in my 3rd year, studying Engineering. I'm really into photography, good food, good beer, and hiking!

I took a gap year to travel and hike around India, Europe, and South East Asia and met so many awesome people and had such awesome conversations! So now I'm taking advantage of all the breaks I get from college to travel.

I'm traveling around New Zealand for a month (till mid January). Currently in North Island and will head to the South Island in a week and a half!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best part about travel, for me, is meeting new, interesting people and learning about their lives and stories... I think Couchsurfing is the best way to do that! It's also a great way to meet locals and get an authentic, non-touristy taste of a city.
