About Me

to feel connected to the world

I'm an enthusiastic person with lots of fantasy, spontanity and curiousity who wants to learn as much as there is in the world. About culture, people and languages.

Sometimes I can be quite naive and childish... but it's getting better every day =)

What I hate: injustice, lies, coldness and falseness. What I love: Cats, food, friends, traveling, books, movies, music, studies, languages

Everything depends on the angle of view you're looking at. Life and everything else is as good or as bad as you decide it to be.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I'd like to be a part of this community and help people all over the world understand each other a little bit more, get in touch with other cultures and languages. Build up a world where everybody can be anybody's neighbour, because distance is relative =)

My last CS experience was certainly New Zealand. Sumit and then Sam has helped me from the moment I entered the country and on many CS meetings I've met people that I'm proud to still call my friends. CS has helped me in many ways and I'm sooo thankful that it's there!

Additionally: I spent 3 weeks in Japan just doing CS with a good friend of mine. I spent 1 week in London also with a CS-host. I enjoy CS-events and meetings quite often. CS-people are predominantly open minded people (I know that most of them hate that other say about them being open minded, but it's just soooo true!) who are very friendly and embrace new people in their community which certainly is not taken for granted.

You all know the experience to come to a party where everyone knows everyone else except of you. It's awkward and hard to crack the shell... for most people, me included. With CS it's so different. I've been treated as if I've always been part of the community from the beginning and that's one of the many special things about CS. Love it =)

Ah... well, that would be like those things I wrote in the box "about me"...

Well, I have too many things that I want to do but in the end there's never enough time to do all this stuff. So I'll list all the stuff, what I'd like to do:

reading - with a cat on my lap, learning languages, watching movies and series, listening to music, cooking, jogging, volleyball, swimming, climbing, hiking, ...

Music, Movies & Books

I read from Murakami to Jane Austen, but also J.R.R.Tolkien and J.K.Rowling =) --> I would say everything that is not fast enough running away from me!

My favourite movies are the lord of the rings trilogies but I enjoy nearly any kind of movies.

I love music that has melody (which not every kind of music has...). I love classical music and soundtracks, but also indy rock, hard rock, medieval rock and stuff like that =D

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Managing my life is something I'm quite proud of. And of course, falling in love (in people, places, animals, books, movies, stuff). Most amazing thing, isn't it?

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna learn to cook foreign food! I wanna learn more and more and more languages! I wanna see how others see certain things. Experience things I never did before.

What I can teach? A lot about cats. How to understand them, how to teach them, how to live with them, how to take care for them properly. I also can make very good pancakes =) And I think, I'm a strict but good language teacher.

Countries I've Visited

Austria, France, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Russian Federation, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In

Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Viet Nam
