Art making inspiring adventures to USA and Mexico
I am an artist who makes drawings, poems, sculptures and installations. I live in New Zealand Aotearoa, and have been here 15 years. Prior to that I grew up in the UK. Words... adventure, curiosity, compassion, kindness. Walking and noticing, blossom trees, rain, pavements. Collecting fragments, exploring disused buildings. Playful, home loving, colour creating. I like going out and dancing, and also chilling at home. I like to be quiet and chilled at home and have people over for dinner. Dog walking and cat caring, soup and bread making. Gardening.... dancing. I teach art, I make art, I sing in a community choir, I drum sometimes, I do yoga and meditate.
Many things can be true at the same time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm looking for help in my travels to USA and Mexico, so I can't offer a place to others, but when I am back home in February I can. I enjoy showing people around my town, know lots of great spots to hang out, have coffee, interesting things which are hard to find, like upstairs art galleries, the good bars which are always a bit hidden :)
I've just started! I haven't hosted anyone yet or stayed anywhere but I'm travelling to USA and Mexico and hope to meet some lovely hosts. I live in an amazing country too so when I'm home I should also make a good couch provider!
Drawing, reading, zines, natural dyes, beautiful stains on concrete, the sky, poetry, the light before a storm, Marie Antoinette, movies, architecture documentaries, alternative lifestyles, communes, mud brick houses, liberation and exploration, novels, magic, comics, shiny things....
