About Me

Adventure through life while attempting to get a degree

I am just a small town Canadian girl that's moved to the beautiful Bay Area of California to pursue a biology degree and look after some family. I am a fun-loving person that loves the outdoors, music, sports, my faith, and family.

hmmm ... I'm not sure if I've discovered that yet ... I'll let you know :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have to admit that I have been dormant for awhile but I always enjoy meeting new people even if I'm not currently traveling or hosting much.

I had a wonderful time Couchsurfing while I was traveling in Australia. I met a couple really great people in Newcastle, NSW and a house full of great people in Brisbane, QLD!

Music - singing and playing instruments and learning new instruments and listening to many different types and genres
Sports - (espescially volleyball) but really all sports are in my good books ... except maybe ... nope nevermind can't think of any haha.
TRAVEL - anywhere and everywhere!
Faith - Born and raised Roman Catholic, but don't let that scare you off, I am not one of those people that will shove a Bible down your throat, in fact I love talking to people of all different religions (or anti religions) in a pleasant, safe and open environment.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gladiator and The Emperor's New Groove are my two favorite movies of all time. Don't judge me haha. But let's be serious here ... Gladiator is Epic (note the capitalization) almost every sentence is quotable haha. and The Emperor's New Groove ... well how funny is a talking Lama! If you haven't watched it ... do it ... embrace your inner child :) I really am just a huge movie buff and enjoy most movies (maybe not so much the horror movies ... but other than that we're good)

I love music in pretty much any capacity, but mostly indie/alternative rock, classic rock, classical, all that jazz encompasses, and much much more. I love going on Youtube and listening to not so well known artists and then listening to the random bands that pop up around them. But really nothing beats listening to live music ... other than maybe performing :)

Books, hmmm now let's see, There's too many to be named. I love mystery, thriller, children/youth books, comedic, and more. Some books I have enjoyed are Pride and Prejudice, The Lovely Bones, Harry Potter (shhh don't judge me), Lord of the Rings, The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo trilogy to name a few

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While travelling in South Australia I got the opportunity to go Great White Shark cage diving by the Neptune Islands near Port Lincoln. It was a truly fascinating experience. To see how sleak and graceful those sharks are was crazy! At one point one of the sharks bit the corner of the cage where I was standing and it was sooooo cool!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach guitar to beginners, and irish dancing.
I want to learn how to surf better, experience life better, play drums better, drive a motorcycle, etc.
I want to share music, happiness, and faith.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Cuba, Mexico, United States
