I'm Simon from Germany, 23 of age and new on couchsurfing.
I started to travel in october 2014, after finishing my bachelors degree in chemistry. By that time I was 22 and I realized that i had spend 16 of the 22 years of my life over books or in some smelly laboratories. So I simply decided I needed a break from learning to get to know new places, new people and a new me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I met people from all over the world during my little journey and think couchsurfing would be a really interesting way to make this keep happening.
I'm an open minded type of guy
[who would write anything different though :DD - BUT its true ;) ]
and always keen to try out new things and learn different ways of live to get a more diverse view for the world and for whats going on around me!
And I think that couchsurfing can be a way to kind of "look behind the scenes"
of a country/city!

Interests

My hobbies are cooking (not like fine dining but enough to keep me alive trough uni), playing basketball and doing sports or outside activities in general, gaming and movies/tvshows, making music with people (i play keyboard a little bit, guitar even less but i really like to sing and had a little funband), going out to have some party or just to talk about god and the world.
But in general I'm always up for something new

Music, Movies, and Books

I really don't have a "defined choice" of favorite music, because there are as many different situations in life as there is different music and i believe there is the right situation for every kind of music. Having played in a little funband I should take the chance and promote the world famous dixie doodles ;)

My "favorite" is existat though: Its the french black and white movie La Haine

My favorite books are the "wind in the willows", "mr ibrahim and the flowers of the koran", "the adventures of tom sawyer and huckleberry finn" book "der rote nepomuk", a story about a czech and a german boy who become friends but only can spend one summer together before WW2 brings them apart.

I love to teach people how to shoot a basketball, but if you're rather interested in chemistry let me know. And, no i didn't cook crystal yet, sorry ;)

Anything learned is a good thing, if someone can teach me some more stuff on the guitar than my 1.5 songs it would be so nice!
