About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to discover japan, its culture and arts!
ABOUT ME
my name is Simon and I'm 23 years and from Denmark. I live in Tokyo now where I am studying at Kunitachi College of Music for a year as a part of my master's degree. The main reason for being here in Japan is because there is some Japanese music that I admire very much and which is a constant source of learning, inspiration and enriching experiences, especially old traditional music such as the gagaku and a group of modern experimental musicians in tokyo who are not so easy to describe shortly. Music means a lot to me and art in general too, but I also very much enjoy just relaxed and plain, good company, food, walking about, discovering and learning new things of all kinds, talking, not talking and many other things as well I think. At the moment I am trying to slowly learn about the japanese Noh theatre because it is something I find tremendously fascinating!
PHILOSOPHY
hmm.. I will have to wait with this one
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have just recently joined CS, so I don't really know. I hope to be able to travel around in japan from time to time, when it is possible and I hope very much to be able to stay with some couchsurfers, since I think it is great opportunity to meet new people. Unfortunately, I live in a very tiny room in Tokyo, so I am not able to host any one at the moment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't stayed with anyone yet, so the first experience is yet to come

Teach, Learn, Share
I spend time thinking about music, so here I could have some thoughts to share, though I still find it difficult to put into appropriate words - I would very much like to learn more about noh theatre or other parts of japanese culture
