I am a MA student of Social and Political Theory at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. My research interests are critical sociology (Marxism and Post-structuralism), philosophical debates on the body-mind problem and the theory of identity. I have over 5 years experience as volunteer in the social integration sector (I activated both in Italy and Romania, where I did my BA), and I have training in the acting techniques.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Principally to keep costs down, yet also because I believe it is a great way to meet new friends.
- political science
Music, Movies, and Books
Blues, jazz and classical rock. Movies... science fiction, tv series with political content (e.g. House of Card), every single Marvel movie. Books: I have been busy with readings at Uni, but if I have time I like reading novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved 2000 km away from home for love.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am passionate about my field of study and have been engaged in the voluntary sector for a while. I have traveled quite a lot and have lots of experiences to share. Meeting new people is always about learning, and I am sure the couchsurfing community is rich of amazing people.
