About Me

I hold a MA degree in Social and Political Theory from the University of Birmingham, UK, and I am about to graduate from a MSc in Philosophy of Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, UK. My research interests are critical sociology, political philosophy and philosophical debates on the body-mind problem and the theory of identity. I see great potential in the interdisciplinary dialogue between the philosophy of mind and Marx's social philosophy. I worked on this topic in my MSc thesis and I am using the themes that derive from it to begin a career in political journalism and civic activism in Torino, Italy. I have written blog articles on two blogs co-edited with University colleagues, and I have over 5 years experience as a volunteer in the social integration sector (I activated in Italy, Romania, where I did my BA, and the UK), and I have training in the acting techniques.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe it is a great way to meet new friends and to re-think the idea of exchange, putting personal values and knowledge before money.
