About Me

ABOUT ME

I can be extremely sarcastic, but never in a mean-spirited way. I am very down-to-earth and kind of a hippie. I'm usually always smiling. On the outside I am an optimist, but I'm an internal pessimist; I anticipate the worst, so I am always prepared, but I hope for the best.

Interests

I am currently a student working on my undergraduate certificate in Elementary Education (birth-6th grade). I have a great passion for education and I am looking forward to becoming a teacher one day. I have also studied English and I enjoy spending my time reading. I especially love books (and movies) that make me cry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to take a trip to England with two of my best friends. We took a tour to Stonehenge. The power and history of the site was palpable and left me in a state of awe wondering what these stones have seen.

I visited family in Arizona over winter break this past December/January, and we took a ride out to Sedona to see the red rocks. The formations of the mountains and the vivid colors of the landscape were so beautiful and inspiring. The town itself is a well-visited center for New Age religious and spiritual travelers, and the energy surrounding the land is something that will always stay with me.

I currently live in New Paltz, New York, where I go to school, and I often find myself stopping on campus or during my walk home to admire the beauty of the nature around me. New Paltz is not a major tourist spot, it's not even very well-known to New Yorkers, but it is one of the most beautiful places I have visited and I'm so lucky to be living here.
