About Me
ABOUT ME
Recent graduate getting experience in my field of interest (primatology and conservation biology). Southern hospitality minus traditional gender roles/norms. Transitional phase blah blah, but planning on going to graduate school after a two year break. Not an "adult" by any means. How do I say "I like to rage" without sounding like an alcoholic frat bro? Pretend I said that. No offense to frat bros or alcoholics. I'll probably go to any show if it costs less than $10 unless it's a generic jam band. I am an exceptional lounger. I am in a committed but open relationship with Netflix. I have a cat and we love each other very very much.
In all seriousness though, since I will be coming into your home, I will tell you some things about my personality: Strongly opinionated but extremely open. There is always space for dialogue on any subject as long as there is mutual respect for one another. I identify as queer and am happy to explain to anyone who is unfamiliar with that line of thinking about what that means to me. I am sex positive and feminist-minded. I absolutely love meeting new people - hearing their stories and how it shaped their identities. I value honesty and communication above most interpersonal dynamics. I am extremely self-reflective and like to surround myself with others who are also.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly read contemporary-ish fiction. My favorite book right now is Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson, but that's always subject to change. Couchsurfers would love it - it's all about transiency.
My music genre of choice is garage rock. My current favorites are Mikal Cronin and Shannon and the Clams, both San Francisco based. I dabble in post-punk but also indie girls who sound like little babies. I will always and forever be listening to LCD soundsystem.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just finished working at the Duke Lemur Center! It's a 70 acre sanctuary/research facility that houses over 250 prosimians. The only place to see that many lemurs outside of Madagascar.
