Simon - is in the eye of the beholder.
i don't want to live forever ... i just want to live for all of it
i would describe myself as a human who loves travelling & sharing moments with other earthlings. i live my life to be happy & wherever possible, add to the happiness of others.

i am discovering that as i journey, and every encounter helps me define it further. The only thing that i can be certain of is, i experience ... beyond that, i can't be certain of anything.
i suppose that the foundation of all my perspectives is that "Reality is in the eye of the beholder" :) in my reality, humanity is one tribe, one family.
i endeavour to "Be the change I wish to see"
i love Animals
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
i have been on Couchsurfing since the time we had "old school" badges & you could vouch for someone.
i couchsurfed through europe and it is one of my favourite ways to meet people & places
i have hosted some amazing humans in Brisbane in 2009, London 2011 and France 2015. i am in a travelling phase again at the moment until the beginning of 2016, when i will be back in australia. for me CS has been a real heart touching way to travel & I've made friendships that will last a lifetime.
Watching a sunrise, a sunset, a moonrise (interested in the entire universe pretty much) nature, cooking, humans (all earthlings actually), listening, conversation, philosophy, meditation & cats purring (i love animals) :)
I'm very interested in conversation with interesting humans from all over the planet and meeting as many new perspectives as possible.
Music, Movies, and Books
Love music - I like to let the universe decide the soundtrack to my life. So the universe usually works through my Hosts & their playlists :)
Love books - "a picture paints a thousand words", true, and equally, a word paints a thousand pictures. I generally read non-fiction and the focus is on whatever I am trying to learn about at the time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Many - my life has been pretty blessed. Whether it has been with work, on holidays, or just sharing time with high calibre humans; my journey continues to be filled with amazing experiences.
just some of the highlights are;
holding my god son Conner
hugging my friend dying from cancer
watching the sunset in Dubrovnik on 12 May 2012 and seeing a sunspot!! (That was mind blowing!!)
gazing at the Milky Way on a gorgeous night at Cabarita Beach
But again, "it is not what you do in the moment, but who you share the moment with"
Teach, Learn, Share
i can learn more about everything;
will share all that I have
& hope that if there is anything I teach, it is positive for humanity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
i think the one common thing i share with all my hosts is gratitude and positive energy. this manifests itself in all kinds of ways depending on the moment. from cooking, chilling and conversation, to petsitting and helping with all kinds of projects :)
