ABOUT ME

I'm a future science teacher but currently I've been studying at University of Helsinki for so long, I don't want to count years anymore... I'm interested in almost anything and have been taking a new minor after another. As the university life in Finland is really flexible, I've also been able to travel a lot and try different jobs, ranging from teaching to tram driving and IT/web stuff, during my studies.

When traveling, I enjoy seeing the must see sights as well as just wandering around or sitting somewhere and observing what's happening around me. I'm a bit obsessed with mountains and hiking trails, so whenever I spot a hill or a secluded path I rarely can resist the urge to go there. And, of course, I like meeting new people and learning from them.

I strive to become polymath, Uomo Universale. Or at least I want to learn and experience as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I registered to CS quite a while ago, but was inactive for a long time. I've been couchsurfing a couple of times though, with friends who are more active here, and have only positive experiences. Meeting people, who I would never have gotten to know without CS has been really exciting and widened my horizons.

Interests

Generally.. everything :D
I'm curious enough to find something interesting in everything, so feel free to introduce me new things - and it might become my new obsession.

My hobbies at the moment include kyūdō (japanese archery, Heki-ryū Insai-ha school), dancing, reading (mainly non-fiction) and studying Japanese by watching as much Japanese anime and movies as possible. And, not so surprisingly, traveling.

Whenever I have time and opportunity, I try to spend some time in nature, usually hiking and seeking stunningly beautiful places. But I would never live outside a city, as I'm a sucker for urban culture and people-watching as well.

Delicious food. I like cooking, eating and culinary exploring. My favourite cuisine would probably be japanese and mexican.
