I am a grad student in electrical engineering and a musician.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently, I'm looking to surf and make friends.
I have surfed once and hosted three times. I have played two BurningKouch festivals in Orient Point on Long Island and had a blast. I have also been on tour with my band and crashed on many couches, floors, and so on. I always really enjoyed myself!
I like to engineer, sing, play guitar, and cook. If you have a project you're working on of the engineering / musical / culinary persuasions, count me in!
I used to be in a band and used to live in Brooklyn, hence the user name... even if I did live in New York it would be a silly user name... but it's mine to keep now. C'est la vie!
Music, Movies, and Books
The music I write is Bollywood-Indie-Punk and I also like all of those genres :D I will listen to anything though.
Some artists are Shreya Ghoshal, Dengue Fever, Arcade Fire, The Shins... I'm also into old stuff - The Beatles, Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, etc. etc etc
Movies - I could watch anything really. TV shows - Game of Thrones, Bob's Burgers, Sherlock, Adventure Time, I've been known to binge watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Movies - One of my recent songs is about Dario Argento's Opera, more recent ones I saw were It Follows, Green Room, and Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
Books - American Gods by Neil Gaiman, a lot of other stuff by Neil Gaiman, The Great Gatsby, recently getting into Agatha Christie, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll name a few! Goa India, the Taj Mahal, getting a degree in Physics, moving to New York to become a rock star, moving back to Ohio to study engineering.
Teach, Learn, Share
Guitar, how to read music, basic piano, a tiny bit of Hindi, a tiny bit of German, a tiny bit of Spanish, English (obviously), electronics and other nerdy things, how to cook whatever I can cook!
