One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Yesterday, I was walking around Jackson Heights Queens with my students in a summer program where I teach. We were assigned to go around the neighborhood and ask questions to the locals and find different types of cultural artifacts. In doing so, we discovered all of the different languages and cultures that were part of this neighborhood and all of the different languages that we spoke as a group, and then learned about each other. My students are only 12 and we were able to expand everyones mind in our diversity in our group as a whole. This was only yesterday, but these types of discoveries and accomplishments are what inspire me on a day to day basis.
