ABOUT ME

I'm a science writer from Australia, travelling around Canada, the US, Argentina and Europe with my girlfriend for 12 months. Love sharing a bottle of wine or a cup of tea, and cooking a vegetarian meal or two. Keen to stay off the tourist trail - I would much prefer to meet locals and hear their stories. Pretty independent too, so if you don't have time to chat that's fine, I'm grateful for the shelter! We've got our own sleeping bags and pillows, and always wash the dishes.

Interests

I'm really into nature and science, so I'm interested in wildlife watching, hiking, museums and art galleries. Very happy in cafe's too, writing stories with a mug of good coffee. I also like gardening, yoga, reading and meditating.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently went dog sledding in the Yukon, Canada, and ran my own team of four dogs. It was wicked fun! We scooted along an ice lake and navigated a bush trail. Last year I hiked in the Blue Mountains, Australia, and it was really beautiful there. Almost as fun was the day after, when I drove down a windy mountain side with tropical ferns and waterfalls, then came out into a magnificent agricultural valley.
