About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see anything and everything and to meet people from all over the country/world. I want to hear your stories!

ABOUT ME

The only goal I've ever set for my life is to visit every continent before I die, and to truly engage with the people who live there!

PHILOSOPHY

"Never Succumb to the temptation of becoming bitter. As you press for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline, using only the instruments of love." -Martin Luther King Jr.

"Just to be is a blessing. Just to live is holy." -Abraham Joshua Heschel

"There is more in the human being to celebrate than to denegrate." -Elie Wiesel

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have CouchSurfed in Istanbul, Berlin, Sofia, Charleston, Savannah, Atlanta, Richmond, Niagara Falls, Daegu, Taipei, Tainan, and Jakarta, and each experience has been wonderful. The hosts that I have encountered have been incredibly generous, and not once have I felt unsafe or uncomfortable in someone's home. CouchSurfing has redefined the word "stranger" for me - someone I have not met yet isn't scary, but rather, its exciting to know that I have the potential to make another friend, especially through CouchSurfing.

Interests

Currently: Early childhood education and Talmud.

I collect shot glasses and coasters :)

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Studying abroad in Greece in 2010 and living in S. Korea for a year has opened my eyes to the rest of the world. I have seen so many beautiful landscapes and people and have learned what true poverty is. I have learned how to be grateful and that life is truly an adventure.
