Spread the love, bring the people together.
Someone once told me the difference between discovery and invention. The lightbulb was an invention, a wonderful one at that - but electricity, that was the discovery. Your job is to go out and discover the world. And to discover you cannot have any preconceived notions of what it is you'll come across. I realized that my beautiful city of Guelph, though a wonderful place to live through and through, had been exhausted. There was nothing left to discover here for me. And so I quit my job, sold my things and headed out on a train headed west.
I'm a biology student minoring in psychology, so most of what I study is about relationships and patterns. I've realized that many of our relationships - which each other, ourselves, our environment - are toxic ones. I want to talk to people. I want to learn from them. I want to discover the elation that comes with mountain air and the joy of defeat that comes with learning to surf. I want to discover the world and help bring positive, lasting change.
I want to change your life.
listen & create.
think for yourself.
appreciate the beauty in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I also talk to people about important issues (sustainability, politics, environmentalism, psychology, philosophy/religion/spirituality, and pretty much anything else). I play guitar and have recently started delving into the wonderful world of spoken word. I also enjoy photography and bounding into the vast unknown with next to no set plan.
Oh, I'm so new at this.
local food. conversation. coffee. tea. micro breweries. music. reading. photography. dancing all night and into the sunrise. exploring. bicycle adventures. travelling. inspiring. sharing. building community. building solidarity.
