ABOUT ME

My name's Michelle, but feel free to call me Smallfry. I respond equally to both! I'm a curious sort of person, and adore meeting new people. I firmly believe that we all have gifts to offer and things to teach one another-- probably why I'm in social work. I have a big heart and am probably one of the best huggers that you'll ever meet. Just sayin'. After people, my next passion probably is creating art and nonsense. I'm always looking to put up art in the community, dress in silly costumes, or work with tools. Let's make stuff!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've shared my home in Denver with many Couchsurfers, and was fortunate to surf with some lovely people on my travels. Now that I've recently moved, I'm not really able to host anyore. BUT I am always happy to meet up for coffee/offer tips for the city/take you to see all sorts of weird things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- anything I can dance to! Particularly, downtempo, ambient, and experimental stuff as of late.

Movies- I don't watch that many honestly.

Books- Oryx and Crake, American Gods, Jitterbug Perfume, the Alchemist, Lamb, The Fifth Season, The New Jim Crow, and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance come to mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun rise after hiking up Volcan Baru was pretty fantastic. But it's so hard to choose just one! A lot of them probably have to be explained in person.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn anything and everything I can, particularly when it comes to creative areas. Teach me your craft! If you have a project that you're working on, I'd be thrilled to help.
