Overview
About Me
I am a 23 year old girl, who grew up in the country side of Denmark. I am studying molecular biomedicine in Copenhagen, but spends a lot of my free time on either travelling or dreaming/planning to do so. I love to spend time outdoors - especially doing running, hiking etc. I am a big advocate for the Danish term "hygge" - cosinesss, but it entails so much more. Not much can top sitting around a table, eating, talking or playing board games and simply enjoy the company that you keep.
I like trying new things and I keep discovering more about the amazing city of Copenhagen.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The idea behind Couchsurfing is outstanding. Not only does it make travelling more affordable, it also gives you the opportunity to meet locals whereever you are, who can enrich your experience. I find it very rewarding to meet new people, who have a different background than yourself. It broadens your horizon and make less ignorant about the world around you.
Often the things you remember from your travels are the people you met and not the attractions you got to see.
Interests
Obviously I love travelling. The best thing is to get to meet locals and discover the similarities as well as the differences between cultures across the world.
I also spend a lot of time on running - regular and orienteering. I love the fact that it is possible to bike everywhere in Copenhagen.
I enjoy playing board games - particularly beating my friends in quizzes :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am huge Harry Potter fan, growing up with the books being approximately a peer to Harry and his friends. I also enjoy the classic works of Jane Austen - and in general I just love to read! One the best things is to get lost in a book and forget about time place. I also enjoy watching movies and tv series, but the challenge is that I get addicted very easily :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking a train ride in Myanmar was quite an experience! A very slow, bumpy but also informative ride through the country side of an amazing country.
Fortunately I also had the chance to volunteer at a school in Thailand working with Burmeese immigrant kids. They were all so grateful for the opportunity to attend school, something we take too granted for sure.
