My name is Sofie
and me and my friend sigrid are two girls from Copenhagen who are looking for fun and friends in the United States. We live and study both in central Copenhagen and are major consumers of culture such as design, art and food. Creativity is very important in our daily lives and will also be important through our trip around the United States. We are both very social, easy-going and openminded. We love new adventures and are not afraid of getting our hands dirty.
We both love the environment and are big supporters of organic farming.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

We love to meet new people and really get close to the community we're in. It's kind of the first time me and my friend are couchsurfing, but i'm sure it's no problem at all. I stay over at my friends place a lot of the time when I'm home in Copenhagen, because it's really cozy and safe in some way:)

In Denmark we really love to "hygge" - which means to be together and make everything cozy and warm. So for me couchsurfing is kind of "hygge", and being able to meet a lot of great new people this way is amazing in my opinion!

Intereses

We're both interested in music, culture, films, art and design. Other than that we love partying, chilling, meeting new people and having fun.
Even though we are really good friends, we're very different people with different interests.
That's why we never run out of issues to talk about :)

Música, películas y libros

We both really like hip hop, especially old school 90s hip hop such as Jamal, Nas, Lord Finesse, Large Professor, Brand Nubian, Moob Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious B.I.G., Mos Def, Big L, J Dilla, Pete Rock, Slick Rick and so on. But we're always interested in new music and new different genres - we can almost have a party to every kind of music!
We also really like a lot of movies and watch a lot of them too. Classic Mafia movies are always a must, such as Scarface, Godfather, Goodfellas, Once Upon a Time in America and all the other classics;) But we also love directors like Quentin Tarantino, Judd Apatow, Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, Sofia Coppola, David Lynch. Just to name a few!
We love tv series such as Girls, Transparent, The wire, The Jinx, Bloodline, The Affair and so on. We always have a lot to talk about and are really good at catching up with the latest new movies, tv-series, Music, food and other cultural stuff. We love to read, but are really bad at having time to do it - so we read like a book or two a year...

I have been traveling around Europe for a month with two friends which was really cool and fun.
I also went to Vanguard Festival a couple of times, the only Real hip hop festival in Copenhagen. That was the biggest experience for me because I got to see some of my all time favorite idols on a small stage in Copenhagen! Always the best days ever ! I've also met Mos Def, Lord Finesse and Large Professor which was a great moment for me!
