I am planning trip to Europe around Summer Breeze festival in Germany and visiting a few monasteries in a little while.
I also want to explore the SW... I am new to couchsurfing, though I did use a similar website specifically for bicyclists when I biked Oregon to SoCal down the West coast and had an excellent experience with that. Though that site was free! (Warmshowers, ya'll. It's a good community). I guess I'm seeing how well this site works for me:-).

I have heard of others good experiences couchsurfing. It seems like a good addition to hostels/pensions and an authentic way to see the world. Plus you get to meet cool and interesting people:). I like a local perspective especially:-)

Books, well I like a little bit of everything..poetry...right now I'm reading Daughter of Smoke & Bone(really good). I go through periods where I read a lot of romance and fantasy novels. Though I do like deep stuff. Used to work at Powell's books in Portland:)
I am also into a lot of 80s movies.

Played drums in a band I liked. Started my own micro farm. Finally writing my own music on electric guitar. Stayed/lived at a Zen monastery. Volunteered at Rock n Roll camp for girls. Started viewing my self as an artist and my dancing as performance art/art.

I am really into gardens, gardening. I grew some veggies for cash at my local farmers market in OR, that was fun. I also Wwoofed in Costa Rica for a season to learn more about organic gardening.
I have bellydanced since I was a teenager:)
I've played hand drums, the drum kit and guitar, also since I was 16.
I have biked from Canada to Mexico along US West coast (Big Sur is as cool as they say it is). Also biked much of Florida.
I know a lot about natural and homemade beauty/skincare
