About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am starting a new life in Guadalupe working for the Red Cross. My six-month travel around South America changed my life in 2012. I left marketing for photography, Barcelona for the French Pyrenees. Since then I spent much time on the road, living from day to day, backpacking, volunteering and enjoying life.
I spent on year in Cartagena, Colombia in 2016 to work for an environmental project, as I was willing to do something for my planet. I then worked for 6 months for a NGO in Saint Martin to help people restart their lives after 2017 hurricanes in the West Indies.

ABOUT ME

Passionate about travelling, taking photos and doing sport I also love helping people whenever I can.

PHILOSOPHY

You can learn 100 times better from people than at school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I was travelling in hostels, some backpackers recommended me to try couchsurfing. That was the best experience ever. My hosts became friends in a few minutes, it's just incredible. You can share more with surfers you spend a few hours with, than with friends that you know for years. Travelling gives you this opportunity!

I love taking part in couchsurfing meetings and whereever I live most of my friends are from the CS community. I have been hosted by many great couchsurfers and I try to host as often as I can. Usually what is supposed to be one night ends being one week and the beginning of a true friendship, which is probably why the people I hosted left references as friends instead of surfers!!!

Interests

I love all kinds of outdoor sports : rollerblading, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, sailing, swimming, playing volleyball... I love nature and widlife, and I feel more and more connected to the mother earth. I practice yoga, meditation, use essential oils, and tries to have a healthy life. I am passionate about photography and intend to use this media to tell stories. I love travelling, learning languages and meeting people from other cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Best movie ever: Into The Wild.
Music: I love discovering local music while travelling or living abroad. Now, I usually listen to soul, reggae and some commercial music on the radio!
Books: I read so many books in my life that it is hard to tell. The last book I read that impacted me much is The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (Toltec Wisdom)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming with a humpback whale and her baby in La Reunion
Working as a volunteer with monkeys, bears and macaws in a Bolivian wildlife refuge, La Senda Verde.
Building shelters in a poor neighbourhood of Cartagena, Colombia

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you languages, prepare some French cake for you, and share my experience with you. I can also give you some advice on digital photography or even with your computer. Of course I will bring my food and help you with the cleaning.
