About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to boldly go where no man has gone before

ABOUT ME

In a conversation, I tend to be the quiet one, paying attention to what others are saying. While I like meeting new people, new places, new customs, I usually prefer to be an observer and take in as much information as I can, while making my presence as invisible as possible. After all, I like to write the news, not be a part of it.

PHILOSOPHY

It's not like there is any rhyme or reason to our existence, but since we're here might as well enjoy the hell out of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently writing an article on Couchsurfing and other hospitality sites for a magazine, and plan on referring friends who might be interested to the site.

Interests

Unusual places and customs. I'm pretty much a nerd, so anything out of the ordinary interests me. Not only a nerd, but also a geek, so gadgets, computer and anything related to technology are sure to interest me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: it should either have well-developed characters, with whom we can connect (like Magnolia, or Yi-Yi), or push the envelope of what a movie experience should be (like Kubrick's oeuvre, or Pasolini's Teorema).

Music: rock n' roll and swing jazz would be at the top of the list, but I'm yet to find a genre that doesn't have at least one song or artist I like.

Books: I really like reading the classics, Shakespeare in particular. As a good nerd, I'm also a fan of sci-fi (mainly hard sci-fi, Arthur Clarke, Isaac Asimov and such). Lately, though, I've been more into non-fiction, jornalistic and historical books.
