I am recently married. I work as a musician, artist, designer, curator, and maker of mischeif. I love people and esp. love animals. My wife and I are both nature lovers and are also lovers of culture, art, and comdey!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to this community so I don't know much about it so far. But we are taking a trip across the country soon and will be looking for couches to "surf" on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My mother is an actress and always used to take us kids on tour. We had a bit of a "carney" upbringing and were very used to crashing on folks' couches all over the country and would often return the favor. I've also toured around with bands and would often crash with people while on tour.

Interests

Playing music. I like to play bluegrass music mostly but love rock n roll, country, r&B, etc. I play the fiddle, guitar, mando, banjo, etc etc etc.

I've done a lot of outdoor stuff include long trips on the Appalachian Trail, rock climbing, kayaking, surfing, fishing/hunting, etc. My wife loves theatre and I serve on the board of directors for our local community theatre.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Love the beats, modern fiction, I love maritime fiction, adventure non-fiction, biographies. JUST a couple of favorite books: The Life of Pi, Geek Love, Seven Years in Tibet, Moby Dick, etc.

Music: bluegrass, old time, country/western, old soul & rythm & blues, old jazz, folk, old RnR (ie. Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley)

Movies: I believe that people can be classified into two categories: those that like the movie "Harold & Maude", and those that don't like the movie. I like it, need I say more?
