ABOUT ME

Currently living in New York for a year. Working as a painter in an animators studio. I'm living a wonderful life and have made many great friends on my travels. About to leave NY to go traveling for August and September. Chicago - Colorado - California - New Orleans. Staying in NO for 3 weeks working on a post Katrina recovery project. Gonna catch me some gators too. Cannae wait.
Since living in NY I've met people from all over the world so now I want to live everywhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet. Outside of couchsurfers though I am always have friends come visit. It's quite incredible how many people visit when you live abroad! Same story in Dublin, no end to the visitors!

Interests

Music, the beach, cooking, reading, visual arts, traveling, meeting new people, history. Live gigs, I love live gigs, hence the amazingness of NY!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read Vonnegut, Steinbeck, Flan O'Brien and one of my favourite books is Trainspotting. When I decided to move to NY I read only American literature for a year and a half, a truly wonderful decision!
Just can't get enough music. Been listening to a lot of Brazilian and Ethiopian music this year.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw a bear in the Apalachians, that was quite exciting since they don't live in Ireland. I was pretty terrified since he was right in front of me and I didn't know what to do. Someone told me once though that tickling them is a sure fire way to keep them calm. So to protect my fellow hiker I sacrificed myself, sprinted forward and tickled the death out of him. We ended up cuddling. It was a bit weird but a bit nice.
