About Me

Consider myself a positive person: whatever you get from life try to give a smile. Life is too short to miss all the good things around us.

I always had the chance to travel; my parents are great travellers. So, when 18, I moved to another city, Madrid (capital of Spain), to study at the University. I could studied and work in one of the most vibrant cities in Europe.

After 6 years, felt my time in Madrid past so I took my bags and flew to London (England). Knew nobody, couldn't speak English but I was eager to experienced a life in a new country. That was the seed for what came next.

I reached all my goals for London; show myself I was able to work in English, develop a career in Marketing and most of all, had the possibility to work and meet with people from around the world (London is most likely the most multicultural city in the world). Then, I realized it was time to break from my confort zone. Moved not to a different country but a continent.

Two years back I landed in Manila (The Philippines). My first experience in Asia. Must say I felt in love quickly. I grew up as a person and being integrated I have been able to realised that for everything there is always more than one way of acting and thinking. That amased me, the diversity.

I have worked in a lot of different jobs. As waitress when I started my career, I have been company owner and until Jan 2017 managing a Customer Service and Finance department for an american company in Manila.

Now, with full of energy, I am about to start traveling around South East Asia. Excited! :):)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My boyfriend and I love discover hidden gems only locals know; that non touristic temple, this restaurant not recommended in Lonely planet but locals love it, that amazing painted wall by local artists, this building with charity activities to help, etc. Furthermore, we like to get in contact with locals, what they do for living, their stories, their believings and, above all, find out that kindness is everywhere! :)

We also love share our experience and answer whatever our hostess might be curious about! In the end, there are more things which make us similiar than strangers, dont you think?

Interests

Traveling to discover and never get bored is my motto, I truly believe that if you open your mind and discover new cultures, this will make you grow as a person being more tolerant and human. Also the excitement of being surprised and amazed when I explore and learn about habits, traditions that weren't familiar to me. I simply love it!!

I love seeing how people dress, what are their traditional clothes, how similar or distant are from where I come from.. I enjoy taking note of anything that I like and adding in my wardrobe

Music, Movies, and Books

It doesn't matter where I live, but the turntable and the vinyls are coming with me. I enjoy listening music of any era, but I am huge fan of Indie Music. All throughout the years, it gives me a great satisfaction to know that I have been able to see many of my favourites bands due to my passion of travelling.

Movies & books are an essential part of my daily life, I normally find free time for me to read and watching not movies but tv-series with my boyfriend everyday.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the things I am more proud of is having lived and worked in three different countries in two continents and being able not only to adapt but love and appreciate the tradition of each of them.

By the way, I dont know if amazing but I have a website with my asian trips as well as tips for travelers around the world. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Spanish (the second most spoken language in the world after chinese!) as well as English. :)

Besides, if you have an amateur website (selling products? experience?) I can give you a lot of trips to enhace it. Lets make it looks like a professional one...for free!!

Would like to learn your story, the story and traditions of your city and country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a good conversation about life. Life in Europe, life in Asia; what the differences and similarities are. My story! ;)

Do you want to learn Spanish? Practice your English? Lets talk in one of this language! In more than 20 countries in the world the Spanish is the mother tongue, thats huge! :)

I can share my knowledge on the internet (Do you want to start a website to get some extra money?)
