take advantage of life
I'm really laid back, I try to be mindful about my emotions and reject the negative ones (worrying, anger, frustration, etc) I try and live by the Costa Rica mantra "Pura Vida", it just means be excited about life and don't sweat the small stuff!
Take it easy, but dont miss out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am ashamed to say I don't travel very much, I'm usually pretty busy at school, so I have not surfed anyone's couch yet. I always felt like it would be good to host first, but I'm in Europe right now and want to *live* a little!
I am really excited for my when I do travel to a new place and stay with CS friends! Not sure when it will happen but im excited!
I first heard about couch surfing when I was 15 in high school and my drama teacher told me about. I got to meet someone who stayed on her couch and he was a cool guy from San Francisco I remember. I liked the idea, but have till this point not had a place where I could host my owner surfers (living in student housing).
I also feel like a lot of the nicest, coolest people I know are already on Couch Surfing! I had an old profile with connections and friends but something weird happened and im in the process of getting it reinstated (not entirely sure how to make that happen).
Anyways, I've talked to my future flat mates and I'm excited that I will be able to start hosting people next semester!
Also, shout out to the lovely CS people who play football in Berlin! They are a good group!
I like to think about the forces that make our society the way they are, I like to help others achieve more than they expect, I like to create something out of nothing, I like to laugh. I'm a huge fan of dancing to loud music in dark rooms. I like going on hikes, deep in the wilderness where I can forget the crazy world that mankind has made.
I like being challenged on many different levels. I like trying new things.
Music, Movies, and Books
music: i like music that makes me dance or makes me chill out.
books: David Copperfield, Flowers for Algernon, And then there were none, Catch 22
movies: eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, edward scissorhands, wristcutters.
I like all forms of culture/art, am not so educated in opera or dance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been exploring some old abandoned buildings in Berlin, truly "wahnsinn!"
Hiking in the mountains, whether it's Costa Rica or California always takes my breath away!
