About Me
Hearing stories and forging connections influences a lot of what I do; I love seeing the world from another person's perspective and learning from others' experiences. Also, transformation has been a theme in my life over the last few months. It began August 2017 during a 9 week outdoor survival and education experience in the North Maine Woods, which completely transformed how I view contemporary Western lifestyles, resource management, and cohabiting with others. After the experience ended, the transformation theme continued as I took on receiving regular life coaching through my startup job in the Detroit Area. As a part of my job, I work with under served populations in the Detroit Area to promote college readiness and college access.
Otherwise, I love food, especially when traveling - I discovered a taste for smoked eel and okonomiyaki when I traveled to Japan for a few weeks two summers ago. And I have been told I make an incredible cup of hot cocoa (original recipe). Anything else you would like to know, please ask!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm new to couchsurfing for now, but it was suggested to me by a friend as a good way to meet new people and travel affordably. I would also love opportunities to share facets of my life with others, and this could be a great way to do so.
