I love life & want to be able to live it to the full! I love to travel meeting new people & hopefully making new friends. I enjoy being in new environments & visiting places of cultural interest. I have a passion for art especially fine art & photography & enjoy being creative when I can. I have a FLICKR account (angelkillerz)for my photo's. I am always looking to learn new skills & hopefully apply them to new life situations. I am adventurous, interesting & generally fun to be around!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well at this time in my life I would like to SURF. Spreading my Spandrianess across the world, being the lovely person that I am & having meaning cultural exchanges with people from all over the world! One day hopefully I will be able to offer my Couch to budding new couchsurfers also!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a Couchsurfing Virgin! Although I have slept on peoples couches in the past! On my previous travels I have usually stayed in hostels, dorms or bamboo huts! I have slept on buses, planes & trains, beaches, rooftops, hammocks etc....this will be a new couchsurfing experiment for me, & I'm sure will be very interesting if not enjoyable!

Interests

Fine Art, photography & the Arts in general. Travel - I enjoy travelling independently & for 3-6 months at a time. Countries I have travelled: India, Israel/Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos,USA (San Fransisco) (Nevada). Religious studies & Sacred Art. History - Archaeology. Science-fiction & Science-fact! Gardening, Interior Design.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have just read Shantaram an amazing book & the first for a while. The God Delusion was very interesting before that. I'm usually too busy, out & about to get time to read. But I have read a vast amount & have a vast collection on Art, religion, culture, history, gardening, science, fossils, sciencefiction........Hopefully on this trip I will find time for more although I plan to learn & practice my Spanish skills. Music - I love a vast array of music from Classical to breakbeats (feed the iPod)! Bjork, Talking Heads, Radiohead, Cure, Kruder & Dorfmeister, ILS, Zero 7, Massive Attack, Syd Arthur.....Movies, I have always loved the movies, I especially enjoy Science-fiction or movies with a great conceptual theme (The Matrix). I love special effects. Great cinematography (The English Patient) Good storyline (Pulp Fiction) & Wuxia films (Hero), historical/ Drama (Plunket & Mclain) & world cinema (Amores Perros). Again (feed the iPod)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being attacked by a Tiger in Corbett National Park in India when I was nineteen years old & on my first big travelling trip abroad. This is probably my most amazing and recounted experience, although I have had many! You can ask me all about them when you invite me to come & stay!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a TEFL cert so would be willing to help with English Language skills. Many hosts however already speak English well. I am a good gardener & also love interior design. I also enjoy cooking a make a great curry! I love to interact & share my knowledge of all I know & love with others, to be a good & loving person & build friendships across time & space that make the world we all live in a better place.
