About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much of this beautiful world as possible!
ABOUT ME
I am an energetic, creative, extroverted person who loves adventure and trying new things! I have a tendency to procrastinate but most of the time work quite hard for my medicine degree. I also have lots of fun too :)
I grew up in South Africa before moving to England aged 12. Most of my friends would probably call me a bit of a hippy. I eat lentils. A lot.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat other people how you would want to be treated.... generally I think life is just easier and better when you are nice to people!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far couch surfing is pretty new to me... I am looking forward to getting stuck in!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the summer of 2008 our house had a lovely young lady from Korea to stay with us for a few days, which my housemate arranged. I can't remember her name but I think she got a lot out of her time, it was glorious weather and we had a 'typical english picnic' in a local park where we taught her how to play cricket and drink cider. Yes at the same time.
I have a tendency to invite people to stay, we had a german guy stay most of the summer with us and I rescued 3 boys at a gig recently who had come to see a band with no place to stay except their car, it was really REALLY cold and they were so happy to have a lounge filled with pillows and blankets!
Interests
MUSIC (writing, playing, going to see live gigs). Also walking (hills, mountains etc), being outdoors, snowboarding, knitting, festivals, sign language, photography, travelling, meeting new people, drinking and dancing! I am quite phasey with my interests and at the moment am about to start a sailing course.

Music, Movies, and Books
See above...
At the moment I am reading Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami and a Salman Rushdie novel.
Music: I just discovered this AMAZING Inuit throat singer called Tanya Tagaq. Very weird. Very cool. Also Beirut, Fugazi, Do Make Say Think, Bjork, Joanna Newsome, Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, Prefuse 73, Four Tet, Deerhoof, Hvartski. The list could go on&on&on.
Films: Anything by Michelle Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind), The Coen Brothers (O Brother Where Art Thou), Pedro Almodovar, Richard Linklater, Guillermo del Toro. Anything kindof Arthousey I guess.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed the highest big red sand dune I could find in Sossusvlei, Namibia then watched the sun go down. Amazing.
