To go somewhere, to go anywhere!
I've gone through a lot of big changes in the last few years and am looking to continue travelling, learning and hopefully improving myself in some way. I try to keep an open mind and I try not to press my views on others. I love to laugh and can be frivolous and serious in equal parts. I love to meet new people and make friends interspersed with some quiet time alone.
I love life and love the beauty of nature and love animals. I also love big glitzy cities and shopping malls! I like to be helpful if I can. In my travels I have met so many amazing, wonderful, generous and kind people I would like to give something back.
Do unto others... Be nice :) I like to be helpful if I am able. Enjoy the moment and be grateful...so much unhappiness in this world is caused by seeing the glass as half-empty. I am an optimist. There are many different paths...accept others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm hopelessly addicted to travel. I know there's no cure. I am always planning a trip and love to hear about other people's trips. I think that travel will be the engine that will power world change for the better.
Although my couchsurfing experiences have been limited to date, they have been very positive and encouraged me to meet more couchsurfers. My home is fairly small, so it's important I feel comfortable with any guests and vice versa. I respect people's boundaries and hope others will reciprocate.
Travel! Writing, reading, photography, music, art, history... I used to do yoga but my instructor passed away, must get back into it. I love animals and have a gorgeous cat. I would love to have a garden one day as I love plants and greenery and would like more pets.
Music, Movies, and Books
Where to start? Will I love to laugh but I also have a serious side. I know quite a lot of the lines to films like The Producers and find it a bonding experience to share the parts with friends! I love all sorts of music, from rock to classical to jazz to folk. I love Bill Bryson and wish I had his job! But I also love thoughtful books and stories of adventure, The Snow Leopard comes to mind. I am usually reading a lot of books at any one time, often a serious novel, a funny book, non-fiction and perhaps a self-help or new age book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many amazing things to limit it to one! Hong Kong Harbour from Victoria Peak! The colours of the water and sand in French Polynesia... Bora Bora! The sheer energy and beauty of Barcelona!
