ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Acco Spoot, I'm a wannabe writer, born, raised and still in East Anglia. I've always skirted around narratives, having studied as a Comic Book Illustrator in Uni and lugging around a folder of writing I've had since I was thirteen (wow, ten years :\)

I'm a quirky sort, I like to gather eccentricities and unique stories to share, I don't think there's a thing I own I couldn't relate a story to.

I enjoy Music, Progressive Rock is my favourite genre, Metal a close second and Gypsy Punk up there somewhere. I like TV and Comics better than movies, Steven Spielberg's Taken is the best TV show there is :p

I think that's a lot, if not enough, if you have any more questions I'm happy to share anything that'll prove I'm a real person.

PHILOSOPHY

Until very recently I would have told you that I was killing time between graves. Now I'm enthused, I wanna be remembered for something, and I wanna make the world a better place in doing so.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I once stayed at a friends house, she had me watch American History X then left the room right as her very Jewish dad walked in the room. That was awkward.

I don't have a lot of Surfing experiences that aren't related to Camping, but it's gotta be similar right?

Music, Movies, and Books

Like I said, I like Prog Rock, King Crimson, Curved Air, ELP, Pink Floyd, Family. Metal: I'm not that interested in the shoutier end of the spectrum, I enjoy Slipknot, but I'll draw the line at Pantera.

Movies: I seem to have this bizarre calling towards Pirate movies, I own Hook and Muppet Treasure Island (both really under-rated movies if you ever get a chance) I really enjoy the Back to the Future trilogy.

Recently I've gotten heavily into Dickens, before that it was Terry Pratchett. My favourite book is the House of Leaves, oh, and the worst of all that is unholy: For Whom the Bell Tolls.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the Occupy protests, it may not seem much, but I hadn't been a part of anything like that before, I went from an apathist to someone with a passion overnight at St Pauls.
