About Me

Helping travellers to discover the BEST CITY IN THE UK Helping travellers to discover the places I've visited solo - via my travel blog: and Instagram: @wilkosworldrocks

Hi all, I’m now settled in Manchester, England after travelling around the world on a three year epic trip. I have a lovely two bed flat/apartment in Manchester City Centre and I have parking too, which is a rarity in the city. I have a nice big L-shaped sofa for you to crash on with copious amounts of bedding etc

Due to the size of the flat and the fact I have a flatmate to consider, one or two nights is the best I can do, two people max.

I am literally 5 mins walk from the nearest bars in Manchester city centre, 10 mins from Manchester Victoria train station and 20 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station (although the FREE number 2 shuttle bus from here takes you to my place).

I am happy to put people up as long as the favour is returned somehow, so best not ask to stay with me if you’re not looking to hang out or speak to me. I will always try to help out wherever possible, so even if I can't accommodate you, I might still be able to show you around etc.

LA - Nov 2019
Puerto Rico - Dec 2019
Necker Island (hanging out with Richard Branson!) - Dec 2019

Do something that scares the sh*t out of you, every single day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been hosted in the US, Cayman Islands, Canada, New Zealand, Africa and Australia....the least I can do is host some cool dudes in my native country!

A fair bit. Have surfed and hosted...several times. Have hosted in Africa and the UK.

Rock music (AC/DC, Led Zep, not the doom metal/hard stuff!), going to gigs and festivals, travel. You'll find me in the pub most nights...not just to drink, I love meeting new people (honest!)

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock music, real ale, wine, horror films and I will read any book I can pick up in a hostel, as long as it's written in English.

The trail to - and finally seeing - Machu Picchu, Peru
Seeing the sunrise behind the Moai on Easter Island
Travelled by land from the bottom of South America to the most northern point of Alaska
Travelled by land from Cairo to Cape Town
Witnessed the natural phenomenon that is bio-luminescence
Camped under the stars in the Namibian desert
